MINUTES OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE IA-FRAMCOS HELD IN UC BERKELEY. MAY 30, 2016 Venue: Kerr-Clark Conference Center, K. Theater, UC Berkeley Date and Time: Monday, May 30, 2016 – 17:30-18:30h Draft June 19, 2016. Revised and approved June 28, 2016 The General Assembly (GA) of the IA-FraMCoS had been included in the Program of the Conference, scheduled right after the last parallel sessions of the first day. The approved agenda for the GA was: • Welcome • State of IA-FraMCoS - Financials - http://framcos.org • IA-FraMCoS Board of Directors Election Results • Bylaws • New Fellows • Report on FraMCoS-9 - Participation and Publication - Financials • FraMCoS-10 The GA was presided by the Board of Directors and there were 76 members in attendance. It started on time and followed the items that had been arranged in the agenda. (1) Welcome Victor Saouma welcomed all the members present and made a brief introduction of the topics that were going to be dealt with. In particular, he said that the reason for having the GA on the first day of the Conference was to have as many members attending it as possible, mainly due to the importance of the voting on the new Bylaws. He also reminded that, as he had already announced, he had decided to step down as a member of the Board of Directors right after the Conference, since he had worked hard as President for the last term and thought that it was time for him to concentrate on other business. (2) State of IA-FraMCoS Gianluca Cusatis briefly stated that the financial situation of the IA was healthy and that it had an account balance of around 40.000 USD. Victor Saouma spoke about the web-site of the IA, http://framcos.org. Setting it up has been a major accomplishment of his tenure as President. In particular, all the papers published in the previous conferences have been up-loaded to the web, are searchable and can be downloaded by anyone, which notably increases the visibility of the research done by FraMCoS community.
