Abstract

paper presents a constitutive macromechanical for concrete compress10n. model, named Compressive Zone (CDZ) model, is based on the hypothesis compressive within a zone limited length. this damage zone, the failure mode is a combination distributed axial splitting and localized deformation. the damage zone the post-peak behaviour is described by means two curves, one related to the distributed splitting cracking and one to the localized deformation. The compressive strain caused by the splitting cracks is assumed to be proportional to the tensile fracture Gp.
