Abstract

The paper presents results of FE simulations of the concrete behaviour under dynamic loading at the different strain-rate. A continuum elasto-plastic constitutive model was used. Viscosity, non-locality and inertial terms were included. Numerical results of strength during uniaxial compression and uniaxial tension were compared with corresponding laboratory tests and CEB recommendations. Some preliminary own dynamic test results on concrete beams under three- point bending were also shown.
