Abstract

In the present study, three RIC beam specimens with the depth of 600, 900 and 1200mm were tested to clarify the size effect in large scale RIC beams. Furthermore, shear strength design equation is formulated on the basis of the multi-fractal scaling law modified with the fracture mechanics parameter and the current design formula. Finally, validity of the proposed formula is verified in comparison with the existing test data.
