Abstract

the study on failure of structures, how actual progresses and comes to an end must be we have to recognize the mechanism. Finally, a the failure should be composed for the sake of design and/or analysis. Two different types of failure processes, that is, failure process and time-dependent deterioration process are u.i.::>vu00 ... ·u. and several topics are presented on these processes. Characteristics failure process and ductility of RC and PC beams are discussed through load-deflection curves. The shape of stress-strain curves, at post-peak portion, and their meaning relation to discussed. Mechanical behavior of ASR corroded beams are shown as an example.
