AB - The ability of most commercial FE codes in performing complete powerful analysis is usually accompanied by great needs in computing power and time. By focusing the efforts on specific mechanical phenomena, it is then possible to elaborate simplified numerical tools capable to provide results of good quality with reasonable cost. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate this argument around the code EFiCoS (LMT ENS Cachan). For this purpose, an experimental study has been chosen and comparisons are made.
