Abstract

Extensive studies have been devoted in recent years to the microplane and multicrack models for nonlinear behavior and cracking of concrete. A new theoretical framework that links the traditional damage and plasticity concepts with the microplane theory is presented. The multicrack model is described in terms of multisurface elastoplasticity, with emphasis on the comer problem.
