Abstract

New safety format suitable for design of reinforced concrete structures using non-linear analy- sis are required due to the global nature of such approach. Safety formats based on partial factors, global factors and probabilistic analysis are discussed. Their performance is compared on four examples ranging from statically determinate structures with bending mode of failure up to indeterminate structures with shear failure.
