Abstract

It has been pointed out that strength defonnability concrete beams depend on its size. The purposes of this study are various factors influencing the size effect approach and secondly to verify Hillerborg's assumption conducting experimental tests. Based on the results of the numerical investigation, various factors affecting the size effect phenomenon were clarified. Furthermore, the test results indicated that the size a significant effect on the strength of concrete beams failing in flexure.
