AB  - A Workshop on Standards for Measurement of Mode I Fracture Properties of Concrete was held July 20-21, 1995 at the University of Wales, Cardiff. This paper summarizes the results of this workshop. Consensus agreement was reached on the following points: a testing standard is needed; the standard should be directed to the measurement of a minimum of two fracture parameters; a simple test (level 1) and a more advanced test (level 2) should be specified; and the testing geometry should be prismatic beams (rectangular and circular in section) subjected to bending.
